The project of Zhaojun Museum features the reorganization of the site where Qingzhong (Zhaojun Tomb) lies. Located south to the tomb passage of Qingzhong, the low-heighted museum takes on a modest look in tribute to Qingzhong, which can be seen from a gap between the two main parts of the building. The two pyramid-shaped volumes serve as exhibition halls for Zhaojun and Xiongnu (an ancient nationality in China) respectively, connected by a central corridor. Finished with rammed earth-like concrete panels, the building seems to have grown form the ground. The canopy at the entrance is made of overlapping and interweaving bamboo bars, paying tribute to the wisdom of ancient people.
